Membership Prices

The Southeastern Minnesota Flying Club offers the following membership options.¹

Standard Tier

Standard Tier membership entitles members to fly our Cessna and Piper aircraft and to use shared Club resources such as our headsets.

Academic Tier

Persons who are enrolled at least half time in an accredited secondary or undergraduate post-secondary education program may qualify for a reduced Equity Share fee when joining the Southeastern Minnesota Flying Club. Academic Tier members are entitled to fly our Cessna and Piper aircraft and to use shared Club resources such as our headsets. Academic Tier members are required to become Standard Tier members when their education program enrollment ends.

¹Membership in the Southeastern Minnesota Flying Club is open to those who live within a 30-mile radius of the Rochester International Airport as determined by the address on the applicant's FAA pilot certificate. 

²The total Membership Fee is $2,162.50 after sales taxes.

Standard Tier members in good standing receive a Membership Fee refund upon resignation according to the following schedule:

Continuous Active Membership

0-36 months

37-59 months

60+ months

³Refundable upon resignation.

Monthly membership dues pay the Club's fixed costs such as insurance, hangar rental and utilities. A portion of each month's membership dues is allocated to the Club's Aircraft Improvement Fund to pay for future aircraft and equipment upgrades.
